Positive signs showing two months into regular season

By Caleb Jones

With October coming to a close, two months have come and gone for the NAHL regular season. Early signs have been positive for the Ice Dogs, who hold a record of 8-3-1-1 through 13 games, giving them 18 points on the year.

Their current play has them sitting at fourth in the Midwest Division – level with third-placed Springfield on points (18) and one behind Anchorage (19), who sits in second. All three teams have played the same amount of games.

Leading the division is the Wisconsin Windigo with 22 points on a record of 10-2-1-1 in 14 games, giving them the second-most in the league and the Midwest Division lead.

While there is plenty of time left in the NAHL’s 59-game regular season, and the remaining contests are sure to shuffle things around, solid momentum has shown for an Ice Dogs squad in its second year under the direction of head coach Ryan Theros.
