Fairbanks—The Fairbanks Ice Dogs scored two goals about a minute apart in the third period to tie the score, but wound up suffering a 4-3 shootout loss to the expansion Austin, Minn., Bruins on the opening day of the North American Hockey League Showcase Wednesday in Blaine, Minn.
