Fairbanks Ice Dogs pummel Alaska Avalanche
FAIRBANKS — The Fairbanks Ice Dogs picked up a 5-2 win in the Palmer Ice Arena against in-state North American Hockey League rivals Alaska Avalanche Friday night and advanced to 31-12-2 atop the NAHL’s West Division.

Two Former Ice Dogs Up For NCAA Hockey Humanitarian Award
Mario Mjelleli (Augsburg) and Cody Reichard (Miami-Ohio) are up for the 2011 NCAA Hockey Humanitarian Award. The award covers all divisions and both genders. Finalists will be announced in mid-February and the winner announced at the Frozen Four on April 8th.
