FAIRBANKS—The Fairbanks Ice Dogs celebrated three things Saturday night at the Big Dipper Ice Arena.
One was a 5-4 victory over the Kenai River Brown Bears after their Midwest Division and Ravn Alaska Cup Series rival had forced three ties in the North American Hockey League regular-season finale.
The other thing that made the Ice Dogs and the mostly partisan crowd of 2,242 in the Dipper happy was Fairbanks clinched the Midwest Division regular-season title for the second straight year.
